Dear Preceptor

Thank you so much for making me feel like I can actually do this. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and taking time to show me the "right way" even if you do it a little different. Thank you for letting me come to you with "blond moment" questions without making fun of me. :imbar Thank you for letting me do things without constantly looking over my shoulder, but also for being available if I ask you to come with me. Thank you for telling me when I have done a good job. Thank you for including me as part of the "team". Thank you for setting me up for a chance at success.

I am so blessed to have an awesome preceptor! I hear way too many things about horrible ones and thought the good ones should know how much it means to the newbies. :loveya: I promise that one day, when I am a preceptor, I will strive to be just like mine! What a wonderful role model, nurse, and teacher!

So happy that you had/have a good preceptor. It is a rare thing these days I think.

What a seriously nice thing to write .... but I would share it with your preceptor too .... good people deserve to know the difference they have made to someone's day ..... cheers!

Thank you for not only letting me know what I needed to work on, but what I did well on. Thank you for letting me make an idiot of myself and cry when I was overwhelmed. And thank you for disappearing my last couple of weeks of orientation; you knew I needed that time to feel like I was on my own and that I could handle not being on orientation. I don't fear being on my own tomorrow night, even if it is the first shift that I do so, because YOU prepared me for it.

Thank you.
