:o hello does anyone know of any schools in the dayton area for stna? also any places that help with financial cost of program? has anyone heard of what is called "grandfather clause?" i have searched and been re directed to so many different sites that my head spins.. . i even looked under the ohio revised codes & administrative codes but cant seem to find anything pertaining to home health care & my situation..thanks...;)

I completed my STNA training at Ohio Medical Career Center located in the Job Center on 1133 Edwin C Moses. I took the evening class and it was really awesome. The teachers are very knowledgeable and prepared me well for the state exam. Their day class is two weeks (8-4), but I had to work during the day so I signed up for the evening class (3 weeks, 4:30-8:30). Some of my classmates got funding from WIA, so it's something you can look into. The down payment is $395, total cost of program is $558. I liked it a lot and hopefuly you will too.

Take care,

~Brian

I am planning on attending OMCC, and pay out of my pocket was it a good school? What was the total price you would have to pay. Any hints will help me from your opinions. Thanks. I will appreciate it! :lvan:

Do you get financial aid? You can STNA training at Sinclair CC since it is college credit the financial aid will pay for it if you are elligible. I'm a bit south of Dayton and have been in many LTC places and it seems that no one is doing in house STNA training anymore like they used to. They expect you to be state tested before you apply. Good luck!
