Davita Dialysis PCT Basic Training Competancy Exam

Published

Hi: I am new to Davita as a PCT. Absolutely love the job! I am in training now and in 10 weeks will go to the 1 week basic training. Has anyone that has been to this basic training and if so, please let me know what is was like, what they teach you, and how do I prepare for the test at the end of the week. Is it from previous test out of the " training notebook," starlearning test, or info they teach you that week? Please advise. Thank you.

I'm sorry I don't have an answer to your question. I'm just curious while in training what are the hours? Days?

Sorry I don't have an answer to your question. Just had my job shadow! I hope I get hired! What are the hours like while in training?

Your hours will be the same as the preceptors hours that you are assigned to train under. It could be days, nocturnal, or weekends......it's whatever they work. But it's only for 10 weeks or whenever your ready to be on your own. It can be at other clinics too, not necessary the clinic that your hired to work at.

Specializes in CTICU/ER/Dialysis.

Its pretty easy, just use the info they give you. You wont fail.

Ah I got the job! Currently finishing up my first week. Man it's a lot of information! They are pretty cool and are working with my school schedule which is nice!
