Hello,
For all the people who have been accepted in recent years or applying for next fall at davenport for the bsn program, what GPA and teas V score did you get? I didn't do so well on the teas and getting worried. I was rejected by Oakland university a few times and the reason for it that they said is because I'm a transfer student . I'm hoping to get accepted at Davenport but may have to retake the teas again for the January 31st due date just in case.

Hi Im applying for Fall 2015 and i have same questions like you lol. Did u get accepted? If you don't mind me asking
Hello. Yes I did get accepted in the early admission. Turns out I didn't have to retake my Teas V haha. The adviser said I need at least a 67 or 68 on the test. Can't remember, but I scored around there only about 1-2% higher. I had a 3.8 in OCC and 3.3 at OU when I transferred. They say that you only getting scored based on the test, essay, and the recommendation, but I think it's a plus if you have a good GPA and taken many of the classes for the nursing program.
Congrats on acceptance!! Was the TEAS V hard? I've taken a lot of there pre-req and hope that helps my chances. My gpa is alright i guess i have 3.61 but nowadays its sooooo competitive. :/
Thankyou! Your GPA is pretty good so I wouldn't worry about that. The TEAS V isn't that bad. If you have the study guide for it, it will help you out a lot. I didn't go through that many pages of the book which explained why I didn't do that well. You can retake the TEAS V exam if you don't do well in the first one, but I wouldn't get myself too worked up over it. If you're good at basic maths, reading, writing, you will do fine. Science I would review. Just imagine it similar to the MEAPS, ACT, and SAT. The program have 2 admittance. Try the early one to see if you get in, if not, retake the TEAS V for a better score just in case since they will still consider you for the regular/late one. And a good thing about davenport, I believe they have 4 campus that has the nursing program, and each one takes 30-60 students I believe. I hope that helps you. Good luck!
So do you think i should get the ATI prep book? and Thank you for answering my questions! :)
No problem! Yes you should get it. Parts of it will be covered in the test and are also helpful.
