Daily study for me too! We take it on the same day - as you know - and I too will be doing non-stop study. Have you reviewed Saunders Comprehensive Review much? I wonder if I am wasting time by doing that, but I resolve to learn all I can from it and be done with it after today. Tomorrow morning I am going to take QT 7 at 8am (to simulate my NCLEX on Tuesday) and hopefully I do okay. Then doing questions all day from the Q Bank and reviewing my notes. Good luck to us both and I will be praying for you! :) Please pray for me, I hope to God I can write RN after my name by Tuesday afternoon!

Definitely will pray for you... I have skimmed through the chapters in Saunders but my attention span for it just isn't there... I probably should have been reading through it though, I will be reviewing meds BIG TIME tomorrow though....do you have any way, or suggestions that you have done in order to remember all those medications?
I hope we both can have that RN behind our names.... that would be the best way to start this NEW YEAR off!!!!....Im SO ready for this .
.... just anticipating those SATA!!!!! lol
I'm excited for this to be done too - I am so tired of this emotional turmoil and stress of "what if." As far as meds go, a good way to study broad med groups based on system is the Saunders review because it has chapters specifically for the each body system's meds - example: Endocrine basic meds, Cardio basic meds etc. Another good way to memorize, is what you probably already learned in school - the idea of memorize the med family ending and the basic concerns that go with it. Example: -pril = ACE inhibitors which = watch for hyperkalemia, o. hypotension, bradycardia, and persistent cough.
Ugh, I have to be honest and vent...I am just sick with stress...I feel like the more I study, the more I don't know. God help me
I know the feeling and as the days get closer its not going to get any easier of a feeling for us. This is crunch time now and as long as we keep out eyes on the prize we can do this!!! I honestly think you have nothing to worry from what I hear about your scores + your dedication to studying you are very smart and I think you'll do great. I on the other was always an average student in nursing school and just got by so for me I have that much more stress over things because I feel that I might not just get by on this NCLEX! But just pray and keep faith and I'm sure well have nothing to worry about
I have always had trouble with all remembering the specific nitty gritty little instructions for each anti-biotic so I know I need to review those (ex: which ones need to avoid sun - seems like all of them lol).
The main things to remember with antibiotics:
1. Do NOT take with foods except cephalosporins and sulfonamides. Cephaplosporins take with MILK!
2. People on birth control need to use a barrier method.
3. Check for Penicillin allergy to any -cillin or CEPHALOSPORIN! (cross rx)
4. Vancomycin: ototoxicity and nephrotoxicity! Also "red man" syndrome from histamine release
5. Tetracycline: no for breastfeed and children under 8. Photosensitivity
6. Ciprofloxacin: no for breast feed and under 18.
7. EDUCATION: Always complete the therapy even if patient feels better!
Those are my take away "important" nursing facts about antibiotics. I hope it helps!! You're going to be fine, really!

Thank you I will be praying for us both! :) If you don't mind me asking - what time do you take yours (mine is 8 am Pacific time)? I will be wishing you the best. I am going to keep working on reviewing content tonight & today I took QT 7 and got 78% so I'm feeling a bit better. Tomorrow I'll take the readiness exam, see where I sit.

Okay so I officially have 3 days left until the determining day of my life!!!...Tuesday I will be taking the NCLEX examination for the first time!..Up until today I have been doing nothing but questions and reviewing rationales mainly through Kaplan and some on flashcards that I received from my preceptor.
Today I started a little late and did Qtrainer #7 which was 265 questions I finished with 50 minutes left on the clock and a score of 72.45% which I feel pretty good about at this point because I understand the rationales and why I picked the answers I did.
I plan to go over those rationales again and also review other rationales from the other qtrainers and qbank questions that I have done. I have a lot to cram into these next two days because I am going to take Monday off to relax and not stress too much. I plan to get my toes & eyebrows done, watch a movie and get a good nights rest...(but who knows I'll probably still be studying out of habit lol)
I will be updating this as the days go on about what I am doing to get ready for the BIG DAY!!!...
All I ask is to include me in your prayers and I also want to say thank to everyone out there who has given me advice and uplifting words allowing me to feel that much more comfortable about taking the NCLEX!!
