Hi guys can we give d50 1 vial direct thru venous line? I mean dialysis was terminated, blood returned, blood lines removed, cbg goes down. Can we give it direct thru venous while needle is still there?

I don't know what your company policy says but I 100% would give it. I make sure they don't pull the lines or close the catheter before I get the reading for this very reason. Unless they have a hohn catheter or something like that. Giving D50 through a peripheral IV is a pain and can also be dangerous if it infiltrates from what I've heard. Although it's generally better not to wait until the end of tx to test the blood glucose. I work inpatient and the nursing floor won't take them back until the sugar is normal so that messes up patient turnover.

D50W can be safely given through venous line. Glucose is highly dialyzable as it's molecular size is 180 daltons. (very small molecule) Diabetics make me very nervous if they are on the machine and haven't eaten. You can give D50W before the filter but some will be removed.
