Hi everyone! I just joined the forum because I am applying at Bow Valley College in Calgary and am looking for some first hand experience/advice from the men and women that have been there. Does anyone know what the current wait list time is for the practical Nursing program? No one can seem to give me a solid time frame, and I'm also trying to plan a move to the area as well.
Also, if anyone has taken the F/T course and did prerequisites, how long roughly did it take you to graduate?
I hope I haven't asked any silly questions and thank you for taking the time to read a newbies post!

Not familiar with this college but i believe admissions can let you know how far you are on the waiting list usually not your exact number/ place but just let you know if its a possibility you will be given an offer.
Also take into consideration how competition the school is . remember, you getting an offer depends on other people declining their current offers or not being able to pay their deposit
Some schools send offers just a few weeks before class starts so it really varies

No new applications are currently being taken for intakes before the May 2018 intake. BVC is a first applied/qualified system of admission. So once you apply they will let you know if you have a seat or if you are on a wait list for that intake. Those that are wait listed have been known to be accepted into the first week or so of when first semester classes start. You can apply for more than one intake.
There are a few classes that can be taken through "open studies" before being offered a seat in the program. Anatomy is one many take ahead of time. Once admitted to the program it is designed to be taken as four trimesters (F/T) straight through (no summer off or other extended breaks are designed in). Many students end up on altered paths through the program due to schedule issues, educational challenges or family/personal circumstances.
