Current South University FNP Students

I've looked back through threads and threads on South University and have read positives and negatives (some posts with 30 pages). I'm keeping them in my top 5 schools to apply to because they are authorized in KY for FNP.

I wanted a more updated outlook on this school as the most recent posts were late 2015, minus a few earlier this year.

How is the pace of the program? What is the first year like?

So far my admissions counselor has been awesome. I know its a "for-profit" school but no other school i've contacted has given me such attention. Again, maybe its cause they want my money haha but so far I'm impressed.

how long did it take to get an admission decision? Are the instructors fair and available for questions?

and finally, has anyone arranged clinical site placement in rural areas (away from universities who may hog all the preceptors?) i will eventually be doing clinicals in rural eastern KY.

Thanks for the advice!

Just got a call they moved my start date from May 9 to July 15 because they didn't have enough faculty. This concerns me!

Oh wow sorry to hear that. I'm still researching schools and ordered some GRE books to study and hope to boost my chances at my BSN alma mater (EKU)
