Current NYU Nursing Students (BSN Accelerated/Traditional/Transfer)

Published

Hi all,

I wanted to gather current students' feedback on NYU's Nursing program. I know there are older posts on this topic but majority of the information was from 2007-2009 and it would be helpful for 2011 accepted students to understand how the program has evolved. For example, there had been feedback on the classes being larger and it was to be scaled down for future cohorts. Any input would be appreciated and valued as we decide where to go (assuming you were accepted by NYU) or for consideration if we decide to apply in the future.

Also, please specify your application route (accelerated, external/internal transfer, etc). I think it would be interesting to hear various feedback. Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Im an accelerated student going into my second semester. The 1st semester isnt that bad. Idk ppl keep complaining...i got a 3.9 this semester and studied maybe once a week. Dont worry. As for the program itself...its OK nothing great some teachers suck...some are great.

i just finished the program this past may. I felt throughout the entire program, i had to teach myself a lot of the material. I only found about 1 or 2 professors who i thought were really great but the rest were horrible. The best thing about the program is that you have clinicals in the big hospitals and some of my clinical instructors were amazing! some...
