Cumper & Robbins stethoscopes?

Published

Hi

I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about Cumper & Robbins stethoscopes. They are supposed to rival Littman's, and are a bit less expensive. The brand has been recommended, but I can't find any info on it on the internet, all roads seem to lead back to one particular shop in Australia. I'm skeptical. Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers!

i believe they are only available in australia and new zealand. they cost less than a good littman. the advantage is that they have a floating diagram. supposed to be superior for cariology but i'll stick with my littman.

Gee, that was a quick reply! Frankly they don't cost much less than the Littmann (about $50), but I'm just not sure what to get. I don't want to pay just for the name tag. I also don't want to have to buy a second stethoscope because I cheaped out & made a bad choice, know what I mean? (I'm also a little concerned about looking like a tool running around with a stethoscope that is more than I need!)

Lol, how in the world do we make decisions on patient care, when we can't decide on a stethoscope?!

Can I ask what Littmann you use? Ansd what do you like about it over others you have used?

Thanks for your help, btw!

i have the cardiology s.t.c. stethoscope but you don't need such an expensive stethoscope, but don't go too cheap like the littman lightweight ii, maybe the littman select? it's very reliable and still reasonably priced.
