Good morning everyone!!! I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some experiences they have had or things they know off the top of their head. I am looking for cultural beliefs/practices pertaining to infant care. We were talking yesterday, in our OB-Peds class about taking care of the culturally sensitive patients. I was asking if we were going to go through this in class in detail and the instructor wasn't too sure. So anyways, she gave me the assignment of looking these things up (not really "assigned"). So, I was wondering if anyone knew of anything off the top of their heads-maybe from experience or something. I know with the Hmong population, you should not touch the soft spot because they believe the spirit of the child will be released. I am in the process of looking for more on the internet but thought I'd ask here also. Thank you.

I found a great site that talks about infant care in different cultures: http://www.isisweb.org/ICIS2000Program/web_pages/group342.html
Thank you very much. This is one that I had not found yet.
