I dont know if I am just nervous or having severe writers block, but I can not for the life of me figure out how to go about answering the first topic for the CU nursing application essay My cumulative gpa is a 3.45 and my pre reqs are only a 3.11 ( same old "did't try hard my freshman year" story). If anyone has any advice or ideas, your help would be greatly appreciated!!
Here is the first topic:
(A) Describe your perceptions and attitude about nursing today. In your answer, identify current information about the field of nursing including the demands, expectations and career options.
Again, any help will be GREATLY appreciated!

I recently graduated from University of Colorado School of Nursing. From my understanding, if you don't have a 4.0 in your prereq's classes, you won't get in. My GPA from my previous bachelors was only a 3.1, but I had a 4.0 in prereq's. I didn't have any prior healthcare experience before applying. If you don't get in this time around, I would retake your prereq's you didn't get A's in. If you don't feel like going that route, you can always apply to Adam's State's nursing program. They are much more forgiving with grades. I would also look into University of Colorado in Colorado Springs as well.

I got into the accelerated program with a 3.63 in prereqs -- I had B's in chem and statistics that I had taken 4-5 years ago, and A's in the classes I'd taken more recently. It did take me two tries though!
