Hi, I know this may be a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone on this forum knew anything about the various CT community college nursing programs and how many students they admit. Such as, does Capital Community College admit more students than Naugatuck Valley Community College? Etc.

Also, what is the criteria of the average accepted nursing student to the CT Community College system? Do they have an average GPA or TEAS score? Or what is the average ranking of each student using the new ranking system for the Comm. College Nursing Programs?

If anyone has any information, it would be greatly appreciated.

I applied to CT community college too for fall 2009.

I currently live in charlotte, NC and am moving to CT in few months and because its a Liberal state and also to attend nursing school. For their admission, you only need to apply to one college and chose a second and third choice of college in your application.

All the five community colleges thats do ASN in CT now are doing it in collaboration with one another. You have to score at least 65% in your TEAS test. I have taken TEAS here in NC and I scored 68.8% and I am transferring it and I am also planning to retake it at a local community college here in NC may be I can boost the score. You GPA has to be 2.7 in all the courses that are towards nursing program.

I think they have a fair requirement except that they want your ENG COMP 1, ANP 1 AND ANP2, to be C+ (74%) while most student are expecting to transfer their C (7O%)-the normal average grade.

For me have, B, B, A in these courses respectively, so am good.

They will rank you based on your TEAS and the grade in all the courses you have taken.

Are you planning to apply for fall 2009.

Good luck!
