CT-Ccnp Fall 2016

Published

Hello!

Just wanted to start a thread for this upcoming application period!!

So I just applied to Gateway CC, and Norwalk CC as my 2nd choice. I am a previous student of BHSN (Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing) , unfortunately that didn't work out and I was unable to complete the program.

If anyone has any Info in regards to CT-Ccnp programs please feel free to let us know. I'm hoping to be accepted for fall 2016. Does anyone know the schedule for Gateway nursing program ?

Hi! What do you mean by schedule? Do you mean specific class times, because I'm not sure that they'd be available yet. If you mean the program of study, you can find the information packet here: Community College Nursing Program. The deadline for the application and all supplemental materials needed (class grades in, test scores, transcripts, etc) is Feb 1. Gateway follows the same requirements for admission and program study as all the community colleges that offer nursing. If you want to keep up with other applicants, there's another thread here that just got started: https://allnurses.com/connecticut-nursing/ctccnp-2016-applicants-1029831.html#post8849551 . Haven't seen any other threads yet.

Good luck!

Hi amberdragonfly!

Yes what I was referring to is the program schedule such as times and days a week? I understand that schedule is not up yet, however there may be previous students who have an idea and can leave that info under this thread as well!

Btw, Thanks for the info!

No problem! I was curious about the same thing and I compared the classes required during a semester with the class schedule posted at on the school's website for current and past semesters. A current student would know better, but the best I can tell is that you have 1 or 2 days of nursing classes and 2 days of lab/clinical per week. Class length and frequency offered will depend on the school, most likely based on staff availability. (For instance the past fall at Capital, Nurs 101 classroom portion was offered only "MF 09:00 am-10:50 am" and the lab/clinical portion was "TWRSU 07:00 am-11:00 pm." Similar schedules seem to follow for all the other semesters for each course.) That's only for the nursing classes, you then will have to factor in any co-requisites you still have yet to take. I hope this was clear and helpful to you.

Thanks so much!!!
