CSUF Fall 2016 TRADITIONAL BSN

Hey everyone!

I made it to the alternate list & was wondering if others are out there! Supposedly this program only accepts 5-10 students, which is quite sad. My prerequisite GPA is 3.7 and my cumulative is 3.63. I have racked up a few hours of volunteer hours, but no CNA

Hi Gatoweena,

I am part of the 2016 Traditional Cohort. I was able to get full points for volunteer hours, but none for experience. My science GPA is a 4.0 and cummulative is about a 3.85.

Aim for the full volunteer hours, that definitely helps out a lot and try to get your CNA. I didn't have it but my gpa definitely helped me.

Hey crabfish45! Yes, I was taken off the alternate list!! Graduated!! Now been a new grad nurse for 8 mo. :)!

WOW!, I didn’t think you were going to respond! Do you know how many alternate were accepted during your cohort? Trying to get a good idea about this year, since my friend is on the alternate list and she is bummed about it! CONGRATS on becoming a new grad nurse! I bet you are kicking butt on the field :)!

I never asked my entire cohort, but I know one other person who was also accepted from the alternate list. That’s sweet you’re asking for your friend. Tell him/her it’s definitely possible to be accepted! Thanks!! Good luck with nursing school ?
