I'm curious about how many points it takes to get into CSUCI. I saw a post about the minimum score for admittance a couple of years ago (Fall 2008, 66 seats?) being 28 points. Since then, though, I think CSUCI's nursing program shedded almost half of their seats. I imagine that it is much more competitive now (Fall 2010, 37 seats?).
Honeyrosc, how many points did you end up with in 2009? Did you get in? Do you know how many seats there were in 2009? Do you know what the minimum score was that was admitted?
If anyone out there has these answers, please share.

I just went to an info session last month and I believe the lowest points they admitted was 33 for the last cohort....I'm planning on applying for the Fall 2012 cohort...

Hey guys... I just applied to CSUCI's program. I went to an information session where Dr. Jensen stated they have 1 or 2 students a year with 40 points or more. The cut-off score historically has been 29 points, but last year it was raised to 33. It is highly advisable that you do your best on all pre-reqs and pad your supplemental criteria score with ASL, French, etc (4 points), or Spanish (6 points). Intermediate level (a year and a half) is required at the time you submit your application. If your grades are somewhat sub par, this can really help your chances of getting in.
It is also a good idea to get your CNA (4 points), or volunteer in the healthcare field (3 points) where you would have direct patient care experience.
Good luck!
