CSU Bakersfield 2011 Applicants

I didn't see a recent thread for CSU Bakersfield applicants, so I decided to create one. Spring '11 applicants are awaiting rankings, while the application period for Fall '11 is currently open. Any one out there apply to CSUB?

I applied for Spring and will apply for Fall if I am not accepted to Spring.

I just turned in my application for Fall '11. The anticipation is going to kill me!

Anticipation is killing me now! I have nothing outstanding and it won't be until mid December that the acceptance/conditional acceptance with rankings are finalized!

Also, those who are not accepted to Spring '11 will be given the opportunity (Jan 1st - Jan 31st) to apply for Fall '11.

I applied to CSUB for spring 2011, will they actually allow us to see our ranking prior to receiving acceptance letters? Does anyone know how many points are necessary to get in?

To my knowledge there is no minimum points necessary to get in, they take the top 40 applicants based on points awarded during their process. As far as ranking prior to acceptance letters, I don't know. I do know they plan to make offers no later then Dec 20th.

I just received my letter from Chico ( my first choice), I did not get in, number 10 on wait list. Does anyone know how many points people had that were admitted for the fall? I only have 77 and that is with the interview, and this semester the interview was worth more points. I have 62 without.

For those of you that are reading, but didn't apply to CSUB....the final numbers, there are 64 eligible applicants and 40 available spots!!! How is that for odds!!!:smokin:

I received a phone call on Wednesday from the advisor because there was an issue with which quarter I was admitted to showing in their system. She asked if I was still interested and told me my position on the list! I told her I was and she said I would be hearing from them soon! I read in a post from another quarter at CSUB that that quarter, they sent out a spreadsheet like the one for interview appointments and scores. It showed ranking and points earned in each catagory....

That being said I have heard nothing else!! I didn't think they would wait until the last minute since they told us to start checking our e-mails on Wednesday!

Thanks for your reply. No I have not heard anything. I am happy for you, but since I have not received an email I am now very worried for me.
