CSN-dosage calculations

Published

Hello Everyone!

I'm starting at Charity in January!! :nurse:

I'm wondering if it's a good idea to take the pharmacology dosage calculations class at delgado this semester. I'm not that great in math and I figured that it'll help me prepare for charity. Is this really necessary?! Those of you that finished basics, was it difficult to learn the dosage calcs or not really? I'm just trying to figure out if I really need that class or if I'm gonna be wasting my time!!!

Thanks in advance!!:D

You don't need to worry about taking that course. When you get into pharmacology there is a thorough math review. Just make sure you practice before the dosage calculation exams. They will give you practice tests as well.

I agree, not necessary to take it. Just brush up on your basic math, and CSN will teach you what you need.

Thank you both very much!!! That will save me time and money!!

How many dosage calc exams do you have to take in basics? Is it just one that you have to pass with a 90 or are there more before that one?

Thanks again!

You only have to take the exam near the end of the semester in Basics, then every semester after at the beginning of the semester. You will have a Pharmacology class where you will learn how to do it all, have several tests, and work at home quizzes. The instructor is excellent,,you'll love her.
