CSI Nursing Clinicals 110

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey! I'm an incoming student into CSI's AAS nursing program. I will be taking Nursing 110 (Med-Surg 1) clinicals the coming semester.

I'm really concerned about what it would be like.

I was told it's strictly impossible to get an A in that class.

How must one do so? Constant studying? Good feedback from patients?

Are we tested in hospital too? How does nursing differ from regular classes? Do the exams really require a special way of thinking?

I remember when taking my CPR-certification test after taking a 4 hour class for it, I passed but I did not do great because the questions didn't only require you to memorize the stats and procedure- they were more like "If a patient is blabla... then you must blabla." They were written by the nursing dept, I think. I got those questions wrong, so now I'm afraid I can't think "Critically."

Lastly, ***** will be my lecturer. Is she okay?

Sorry about all the questions! Thank you!
