CRNA in Florida IPN monitoring program

Hello! I just wanted to post because it is so difficult to find information for CRNAs in recovery or in the IPN program. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. I will say that I see so many negative things on here about IPN but I've been in the program from over a year now and it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. If you actually have an issue with substance abuse it's absolutely necessary and I believe that the people who have bad things to say about the program are either in denial or aren't serious about their recovery...or maybe they truly have a horrible case manager who treats them unfairly; however, that hasn't been the case for me. I've been out of work for over 2 years now and will be going back to work soon (yay somewhere hired me). I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to get a job but a group hired me. I even had criminal charges and a NPDB report. I'll be working as a 1099 CRNA, which I didn't even think was possible in IPN. I can't work for multiple employers at the time but can work for multiple sites within that same anesthesia group. I can be reevaluated in approx 1 year after working to be approved for working for multiple employers. Overtime is also possible down the road. It hasn't been nearly as restrictive as I thought that it would be. There are many more people who are doing well in the program who don't post. I believe that the more disgruntled people are the ones who take the time to post online. If you are struggling with substance abuse, just self report. You will never overcome this on your own, especially as a CRNA handling these powerful drugs every day.
