I know there are a few people at least who did Excelsior for their initial licensure and ended up going through CRNA school - congrats, btw, that's awesome!
I was wondering how the excelsior restrictions for graduates works once you're a CRNA? do they not apply anymore because you're licensed as a CRNA? For example, Excelsior grads cannot work in the state of MD anymore- would that still apply if I got my CRNA?
Thanks!

wow I didn't know that MD jumped on the bandwagon like cali did too. I finished before the Cali clause went into effect so it doesn't effect me. I looked on the UM website for their crna program and it doesn't stipulate where your BSN has to be from, or exclude exclesior. I see at that top of the board of nursing for MD that you have to have completed by 2006 or something, however it says OR be licensed initially in another state. so there will be no issues. georgia was the same way when I lived there so got my initial licensure thru minnesota than applied to GA for reciprocity-they just don't want to be the INITIAL licensure state. Call up the MD board for sure, but that is how they word it. good luck!
addendum: well I am not sure after re-reading their disclaimer if you still had to have finished in 06/07 for licensure by endorsement as well. It will be interesting to what you find out.
pps! read the statement that they put out that if you already have a compact license then you don't need a MD license, so that might be an avenue for you. as well as them stating that if it is a distance learning degree that they require 1000 of RN practice in another state or a special clinical class/ education thing...
