Hi,
I'm a senior nursing student and just started my critical care rotation. It promises to be a very difficult quarter, and I want to get ahead of the game. I've had much success in all of my previous classes (thanks to God and a lot of time studying), but I want to make sure I continue the trend.
What I need to know, is are there any books that I can buy that have questions catering to critical care? I have quite a few NCLEX books, but I would love to find a question/answer/review book that caters to critical care nursing. Also, are there any care plan books that are specific to critical care? I just want to be sure I have all of the right resources. Thanks for any help you can give!

Hey, I haven't done critical care yet, but the nurses in the ICU where I worked did ACLS every year, so maybe an ACLS review book would help? I know it doesn't encompass all of critical care but it's the only thing I can think of I have seen in a book that applies...hope someone else has more info for you.

I'm in my senior year also doing my critical care rotation. The book we are using is: "Priorities in Critical Care Nursing" 5th Ed. by Urden, Stacy and Lough, published in 2008. ISBN #978-0-323-05259-7. Great text book and allows acsess to online info. I highly recommend it!

I agree with shangrilla, I am a senior in Critical Care Nursing....
I have the same book : By Urden. You can Sign up for the additional resources online which will give you complete access to NClex questions for each chapter in the book. Good Luck !!!!
