I have an ADRD (alzheimer's disease and related dementias) presentation due tommorow for my CNA class and I have to speak for fifteen minutes. I'd like to get the class involved as I discuss strategies for caring for such residents. I'd like to give some examples/case studies of residents with Alzheimer's in varying stages and allow the class to respond to how they would care for the resident in certain situations. I've come up with a few on my own, but if anyone has some good ideas or examples, it would be helpful as I have limited experience with ADRD residents and do not know firsthand what we would be encountering. So far I am paging through my textbook for ideas.

A lot of dementia patients will want to refuse cares (bathing, teeth brushing, etc) because they are SURE they just did that earlier and don't need it again. That's a common one to practice for.

Don't forget the people that think you are always stealing from them!!
If I sold all the stuff I've supposedly stolen over the past several years, I'd be so freakin' rich I could retire and live in an oceanside mansion. Take that, Bill Gates!
Thank you guys! This is wonderful. I'm creating some case studies based off of these suggestions, and I think it'll make my time in front of everyone at least a little less boring (I don't want to get all walking-dictionary like, people seem to HATE that).
