Cr 5567

Does anyone have any in-sight on how they are going to deal with the new CMS requirements for CR5567? Keeping track of visits will be easier than trying to figure charges for those visits. Will you have one flat fee for every nursing visit or will you have different types of fees for Initial Admission Visit, Continuous Care or Crisis Visits? Our hospice is a department of a Critical Access Hospital. Our ADC is less than 15.

Our solution---computerization. We have selected Misys and they are here this week. However, point of care will not be up and running until August, so we willl have to do this manually until then. From what I understand from the Misys guy that is installing our system, most companies are breaking out the admission visits and routine nursing visits as well as the level of care visits by each discipline. The rates will be in the computer for us (which we will obtain by averaging the time of several visits and assigning a wage to that category). We are a small hospice but free standing. (ADC 45ish). I will know a lot more at the end of the week once the program is installed--you can check back with me if you want. Good luck!!!

Same here - we are already computerized so it is pretty easy to count our visits.
