Which is easier the Cpat or Teas teat? What is the difference? I took the teas test 2 times and I just couldn't pass the math part I have been out of school 12 years and I found the math kinda hard. I have wanted to be a nurse for the longest time and I have disappointed myself so badly that I don't know where to go from here. I can try to go to another school here in town and take it or wait a year and try again at the school I just took the test at. Any advise? Thanks:crying2:

first of all do not get discouraged! it takes time! i just got accepted last month after trying two times! i didn't have to take the cpat testing only the teas. im not sure how you are at standardized testing but i always freak out. i bought the teas prep book from my bookstore and looked over that as much as possible. do you know how much you missed the math part by? did you do good in the other areas?

I was out of school for about the same lenth of time as you. I knew my math skills would be weaker than I was comfortable with. The best thing I did was take a math class even if I met the minimum requirment. The worst thig I did was stopping to use/practice immediately after. I did really well on my teas. But going back only about 1 yr with no math time, when we had math review probs in NS, I had a total brain fart. :smackingf So, I just spent a whole day of my weekend reviewing again. And I feel silly, but confident again. For me the old saying use it or lose it megga applies in math. Scarey thing is, I kinda am starting to like math. :specs: If you can not find a way to take a class, buckle down and go to the library and get some books to teach yourself. Work those problems and understand the concepts. I wish you the best.

I had to take the CPAT test also the school i applied for we had to have a 162 or better to go to the next step. Well the 1st time i missed it by 3 points. The 2nd time I passed with a 168.:yeah: I should know if i get accepted this month. The test has grammer, math, and reading comprehension. If you need help with the math I bought a Math Success program from best buy....it helped me alot one part of the program actually has how to do the problems step by step. Good Luck!
