staffing ratios

Does anyone have any formula for staffing ratios? based on number or type of inmates? how about acuity?

Not really there are alot of beancounters on the admin side whothinks they do. But the key is the acuity, the staffing of the officers, the routeine of the officers and so many try and put the medical; as a low priority, I have worked jails where you have to hold off medical call because they are" handing out the razors" or working on the canteen list. It seems that so many of us in this field are always at the mercy of the officers conveince. So I have worked and was taught about the staffing number and such. But I have never seen them ever work to the benefit of the medical staff...
