Confused

Published

Hello everyone!

I have been in a dilemma for these past few months and it really bothers me a lot.

I am a registered nurse in the Philippines and have graduated last March of 2013.

I didn't have the chance to practice my profession there because we were petitioned by our mom here in Vancouver.

Currently, I am here in Vancouver and of course, they have other policies when it comes to internationally educated nurses.

1. The equivalent of our 4 year BSN degree is only 2 years for the Canadian curriculum.

2. The applications and assessments are really expensive.

I am really confused wether i should take up the additional 2 years here in Canada so that I will be able to take up their licensure examination afterwards.

Or should i pursue another course instead because honestly, i believe that nursing is not for me and that I have been an aspiring lawyer all these years.

To all nurses out there, please, Help me.

I just want some eye openers from you guys.

Thanks a lot!
