Are there any current students in Concordia Portland's ABSN program that have any comments or details about the online modules that they have to do? How is the workload? I'm think of apply for Spring 2018 start. Also, are there anyone that is currently working a job on top classwork?

I am pretty sure that the online program is new? I am trying to get into the May 2018 start date--and I believe my advisor told me the program is fairly new.
And I am working on top of classwork--it's non clinical work. I am doing a CNA class right now---so I am hoping to get some clinical experience, but i work about 40 hours a week.

Hi mtz525,
I might be starting Concordia's ABSN program Fall 2018 start date. Did you end up starting in Spring 2018? I'd love to hear about your experience so far. I'm taking the required REL401 course online and really enjoying the content. Since I'm taking it in the summer it is relatively face paced and a lot of reading and writing, but its manageable. Also, if you started the program are you working while taking classes? Thank you in advance for your insight.

The coursework is relatively easy IMO. Many people in my cohort are able to work.

I am looking at applying at Concordia as well but heard some folks in a recent ABSN cohort had to complete some clinical hours at a daycare because they couldn't get placed elsewhere. Do any recent students have similar experiences? It is a pretty expensive school and I am wondering if this has been anyone else's experience.
