Concorde in Grand Prairie TX wait list?

Not sure if this is the right form to ask or not. I am supposed to start the lvn program on May 31 part time. I was looking at all my paperwork on the student online portal and it just says my name is on the wait list. I looked at all my paperwork and it says that I am an alternate. When I called my admissions rep, he just said they will explain all this at orientation next week. I had no clue there was a wait list. From what my paperwork said, I'll have to attend the first 5 days of class and if I'm formally accepted into the program, I can continue, or start at a later date when there is a slot. How do they determine who get's accepted and who doesn't?
