A great friend of mine is a CNM, she recently left AD Army ( didn't like it anymore), but, she's telling me now, that she can't find a job outside of Military Hospitals working as a CNM, and is now forced into Practice with a CPM, doing a lot of homebirths. Is this happening all over ??? Forgive me, but that sort of makes everything I've worked this hard to get seem...useless, makes me feel like I should've just done my CPM, am I wrong to feel this way ???
I really need some input here.

My babies were both delivered by an AD Army midwife who was FABULOUS!
It seems like midwife jobs are available. There is a website called www.midwifejobs.org that lists jobs all over. You can also find them on Monster.
Maybe her particular qualifications aren't what people were looking for? It may depend on the state/area where she was looking too. I hope she finds something she likes:)

It seems jobs come and go. When I first started looking there were zero in my area (even in a 200 mile radius). Then all of a sudden it seemed every doctor practice wanted a midwife. So you just have to be patient.
