Competitive Pharmacology Grades for CRNA Admission

Published

I am a student at the University of Alabama Nursing program and have some questions that maybe some of you can answer. What is a competitive grade to make in pharmacology if applying to CRNA school in the future. I have made an A in every science course so far including Pathophysiology.

Don't think it matters so much. I think I made and A in one and B in the other. Nice to stay out of C territory when you can. Think they look at the whole picture more than just pharm.

Notice the new sub-forum above this one. This question should really be in there for future reference.

Im am an SRNA at UAB with a BSN from Samford. I only applied to UAB so their criteria is all that I know. In regards to pharmacology, they look at your last 60 hours of nursing school GPA in addition to your science GPA and combine the two. So yeah, if you make an A, its better for your GPA but they dont look at your pharm and think "oh this person made and A and since we deal with a lot of drugs, they will do great"....

Hope this helps

Do you know exactly which science courses they review? I ask because I will have 2 degrees with lots of science (too many!!). I'm fairly certain it is microbiology, A&P but what other classes?

Do/did you like the program?

Thank you!

UAB looks at Microbiology, A&P 1&2, and Chemistry. They used to look at Pathophysiology...but they now offer Advanced Patho through their Non-Degree Seeking program.

I got a B in Pathophysiology and a B+ in Pharmacology. How will that help me? I'm doing okay in my other science classes (As) and still working my way through the BSN.
