Commuting!!!

personally i would try the compute

cons

1. Your a new graduate and relocating could be expensive

-get a roomate or find cheap decent here

2. Know your limit. it is unsafe to get on the road fatigue. I know, because i almost fell asleep.

3. is your car dependable

4. gas prices are constantly fluctating

pros- if you move

1. If you have the financial means do it. do it

2. you can find some reasonably priced apartments in good neighborhoods

3. if you live in the area that you work walking isnt bad it can be relaxing

4. great social scene always something to do

I stay in the birmingham area and there is always something to do here. I know the church down the street has cultural festivals all the time. The resteraunt choices are wide. If you want good asian cuisine i recommend surin west.

Thanks for the advice but my only concern is the school systems. I have looked at apts in the Hoover and Vestiva area and all were expensive and not decent. I love my home and don't won't to move my kids.

if you move to the 280 area you could find a nice apartment in a decent range. and they would be elidgble to go too oak moutain, mountain brook, or hoover school system. but since you said you have kids i probally woulnt move because I know what its like to move at a child. you can stick it out and then down the road an opportunity may open up closer to the huntsville area :)

also locally speaking alot of apartments available arent listed online....

I am just a student so I haven't had to worry about this yet. I just thought I would give you my opinion. As a mom to 3, I would hate to up and move also, but would consider it if I were in your position. If you are going to be working long hours and have the long commute that means that much more time away from family. I personally would much rather move and save all that time, not to mention gas. It will automatically lower your pay because you will be spenmding so much in gas. I also lost a friend that fell asleep while driving home so driving tired worries me. There are some good schools around the birmingham area. You don't necessarily have to live in town either. There are lots of small towns surrounding birmingham. Also another positive is there are a lot of hospitals in the area. You can always move a little later after taking the job and after having time to do your research.

someone sent me a private message but i couldn't send a reply but to answer questions i will being working on or tho at brookwood. the recuriter from brookwood came to a job fair my university sponsored and i gave her my resume and the next week she called me to setup a two interviews,so it took a week for a call back and two for the interview. i hope this helps.
