First, I would like to thank the creator of this forum community: thank you, Mr. Short. Second, I would like to thank all of the contributors to this forum. You all have provided a wealth of information that I have only recently began to explore: thank you all very much.
Third, my question.
I am looking for a list of community colleges (cheap) that offer distance learning that do not have out-of-state fees for online students, preferrably primarily via old-school distance learning (you know, you buy the books etc, it is shipped to you, you mail/email assignments in, you take proctored exams) vs. 'online' (i am able to comprehend information better via the book and paper method, possibly because i was educated in the 70s-80s without the latest technologies. However, any format is acceptable at this point, but if there is a distinction please let it be known.
Any additional information would be helpful. so, a format something like this:
College name, college url, distance learning url, college cost, approximate number of online courses
Then perhaps some admin could compile a list from the posts and make it sticky.
If anybody has personal information regarding their experience with a given college, perhaps that too could be compiled.
The schools in question would need to be regionally accredited by one of the 6 major accrediting agencies to help ensure maximum credit transfer probability:
REGIONAL ACCREDITING AGENCIES:
Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools
New England Association of Schools and Colleges
North Central Association of Colleges and Schools
Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities
Western Association of Schools and Colleges
Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I do realize that some of these nuggets may exist somewhere in this vast pool of posts, but I was unable to find any meaningful and/or straightforward compilation.
thank you all, in advance.
