Hey there!

Just wanted to see if there are any students out here who are in the Columbus State University Spring 2021 FNP program cohort. I just got accepted and would like to connect with others.

Also, if there are any recent NP students who are already doing the program or who just completed the program-- care to share your experience? Thanks in advance! ?

I saw on another CSU post a student in the program was saying to go ahead and get the examination and certification book before you start the program I think it might be a good idea to get the book just have to figure out which exact one it Is

That makes sense!! What examination book would that be? Do you mean like a review book?

Got accepted for Spring term 2021. Any feedback about the program?

Thanks

Awesome! Are you doing part time? I know someone who just finished the program and he says he has no complaints.

I’m taking Patho this semester and I have no complaints so far. I would suggest starting a fb group page to connect with other student in your cohort.

@Breeze1983 can you or anyone doing the FNP at Columbus state Uni. tell me more about how the program is structured, how are the classes (8 or 16 weeks), how many discussions, are there quizzes, are they timed, do you have to take the quizzes on a certain day or time, are there exams, are the exams proctored, are you able to combine working full time with the program? A Lot of questions because am considering applying for the fall 2021 semester with Columbus state university or Herzing University and I want to be sure I can combine full-time work with the program and I don't want problematic programs. I am considering CSU because the tuition is really very affordable compared to HU but I have also heard that the HU program is easy compared to a lot of other schools.

Can I ask anyone who has taken advanced patho what textbook was used? I can’t find it in the school bookstore and I want to get a jump on ordering it before the semester starts in fall.

Also if anyone knows the textbook for healthcare delivery models (6129) that would be super helpful too! Thanks!
