Columbia University MDE/DNP vs UPenn BSN/MSN

First and foremost, CONGRATS to those who were accepted to both Columbia University and UPenn! This is a huge accomplishment! And now on to the next step... deciding which school is for you. Not sure if there was a thread started for this specific topic, but with Columbia's program change to combined MDE/DNP and several individuals asking for a school comparison, I thought I would create this space for everyone to share their thoughts! I know some of you may have posted your opinions on other threads, but if you could possibly copy and paste them here, that would help a lot! ALSO, for those who have been accepted to only the MDE portion of Columbia or ABSN portion of UPenn, please feel free to share your thoughts as well!

Good luck everyone! :)

Hi! I am planning on applying to both Columbia, UPenn, and a few others this coming cycle.

Does anyone know if UPenn will adopt a DNP in the near future?

Specializes in Critical Care, Public Health, Addiction.

I go to a school in the same city and some of my professors work there, I heard they ARE going to be offering one "soon", not sure when..

Hey hummingbird heartbeat I am interested in the Colombia MDE/DNP program and was wondering if you could give me some advice on the application process. Thanks!
