College of Southern Nevada (CSN) LPN Program

Hey everyone! I submitted my application to Csn's Lpn program in Las Vegas. I wanted to know anyone who did this program when did you start clinicals. Was it the first or second semester and what days? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth working and going to school or working one day or two a week if I get in. Thanks!

Hi! I applied for the LPN program at CSN as well. I found one person on FB in a nursing group who is currently in the program now. She stated there are clinicals in both semesters. The first semester there is one clinical day either Wednesday or Thursday. Which ever one you pick. She said the second semester is tough because there are more clinicals. Either Wednesday or Thursday, and then a minimum of 2 preceptorship days on Fridays & even Sundays. Did you receive your acceptance letter yet?

Hello! I applied for the LPN program as well. I know someone who is currently in the program and she told me that the program has 1 clinical in the fall semester and more in the second semester!! Probably worth it to go part time work while in the program. Have you received an acceptance letter? Been waiting on mine for a minute LOL

I know someone currently in the program as well and she said she received her letter mid April. So you should hear something soon. Good luck!

Thank you for the replies! Definitely helps with the decision of working less to focus on clinicals and the upcoming classes if all goes well! Haven't received a letter yet. Let's hope we get our letters this upcoming week 🤞🏻 I have been checking the Mail like everyday LOL

I received my acceptance letter today🤗. I work 3 12 hr shifts over the weekend. I'm going to try to work with this schedule but looking for something part time in case I'm not able to handle working full time. Good Luck to you both!

Congratulations! I also got my letter like an ago I got accepted as well! I was thinking of getting ahead and learning pharmacology on YouTube and taking notes and purchasing a set of pharmacology cards that other students have used 🙂 if you ever wanna form a study group I'd be down. Hopefully that scheudle works! Rooting for you and eveyone

Awesome! I am down for a study group as well. I have some pdf files of different topics from different nursing groups on fb I can share as well. Pharmacology, Med dosage Calculations etc.

Awesome! Just looking at the classes we have fall it's overwhelming 🤣. We got this! I'd be happy to meet you and anyone else here at CSN! I'll probably be going there 2-3 times a week so let me know what days work for you! IDK how to pm here LOL
