I got into the College of Marin Nursing Program for fall 2019 and am wondering if anyone else got in? Also wondering if anyone who has been through the program or is currently in the program can give me an idea of a typical weekday schedule for the first year?
Thanks!

Hi Carrie,
Congratulations on getting in - I got in as well! From what I understand, each semester is broken up in half.
I looked at the program pathway, and cross referenced with the course offerings for this Fall. From what I can tell, we'll have theory MTh and clinicals TuW, with Fridays off. MTh we're there from 8:30am-11:30 for theory, 12:30pm-2pm for lab (it's once a week, M or Th) with a pharmacology class Th from 5:10pm-7pm. Clinicals are mostly 6:30am-12:30pm, but one clinical section is 1:30pm-7:30pm. As for the second half, it looks pretty similar. Med Surg theory is MTh 8:10am-11:30am, clinical TuW 6:30am-12:30pm (and one section that is 1:30pm-7:30pm), and the same lab M or Th 12:30pm-2pm. Hopefully we'll get our course registration grids soon so we can know our personal schedules for the first half of the semester!

Also, I'm pretty sure I was in your public speaking class Fall 2018. I'm Amy! ?
Amy,
Congrats to you as well! Thank you so much for the proposed schedule, super helpful! Refresh my memory on what speech's you gave...and where will you be commuting from? I will be coming from Petaluma. Looking forward to it!
No problem at all! I spoke with Grace and she said as soon as we are compliant, we get our course registration grid. Let's see, I did the Japanese language and global warming - those are the ones I remember. I am commuting from SR, and I plan on taking the smart train. Very cool, not too bad of a commute for you! I'm so excited, I cant wait to start!! ?
Good to know! I am still waiting on my CPR certificate. Are you compliant yet? Let me know when you get your course registration grid and I will do the same. Feel free to email me directly at: [email protected]

Hi all, I am currently looking to transfer into nursing programs around California in Spring 2020. Does anyone know if COM has Spring acceptances?
