Cohort 52, National University 2018 thread

Published

Hi everyone, my name is John, this is my first post in allnurses. I wanted to create this page for everyone that is currently taking pre/reqs and preparing for teas for the 2018 (cohort 52??) year at National University. This thread is for comparing scores, ideas, and preparation for this upcoming cohort. Anyone who is already in the program and has advice for us applicants please chime into our thread, your advice is welcomed.

I currently have around a 3.9 average in sciences and math, and I have not taken the TEAS test yet. I am currently enrolled in A&P II and Microbiology will follow, thus concluding my prerequisite courses. I am hoping to get an A in these two remaining courses and finishing strong, making my entrance to the cohort a less stressful experience. The only thing bringing my grade down is my A- in stats, and if i understand correctly, this is a course which is difficult to obtain a solid A.

I have never taken the teas before, and I am curious as to how many times the average student takes the exam, and if there is any difference in score for any subsequent attempts. I am not too concerned about the essay portion as this is my strong suite, but mostly doing well on the teas test. I plan on taking it in late fall, but I'm not sure about the cutoff for taking it.

Looking forward to meeting all of you, and hearing your feedback about any of these topics.

Cheers

-John

Edit: My application Cohort is 54, starting April 2018. Anyone playing to this cohort please feel free to contribute to the thread
