CNS vs NP in California

Published

I want to go back to school but am having a hard time deciding between cns or np. I have always enjoyed the education aspect of nursing and even thought about eventually becoming an instructor at a nursing school. I am worried about finding a job as a cns when I graduate. I have done job searches and not much comes up. I was also worried about the hours. I have found numerous jobs for nps and could even do that part time if I need to cut back on my hours. I was also concerned about not having much patient contact as a cns. It seems like it could all turn into paper work and meetings. I might also have the opportunity to live in the UK and wanted to be able to practice there. I would love to hear about your experiences and what opportunities are out there. Any advice?
