CNN reports Kaiser dumped a patient at a shelter

The CNN online video, from the shelter's sidewalk security camera, shows a cab drive up and a hospital gowned patient begin a confused walk. The shelter says it's the 3rd time in a few days time. Sometimes the patient is delivered in a hospital labled vehicle.

Kaiser Permanente admits to it and says they are sorry for dumping the mentally disabled patient at the sidewalk in front of the homeless shelter.

I guess that's one way to keep hospital costs down.

Actually, it is worse than dumping a patient at the shelter, if the report I heard is correct, and if we are talking about the same story. A local radio station reported yesterday that the patient was dumped outside the shelter and wondered around L.A.'s Skid Row for about 20 minutes before the mission staff found her and took her in... Whether it is the same patient or not, it was also caught on security video.
