I am interested to hear experiences of those who have attended brick and mortar schools for their midwifery training. I moved a couple of years ago and there is a local school that is accredited by ACNM DOA (AMCB now?). I was excited about the ability to go to school without moving again, but since then I realized that the hospital associated with the school does not allow CNMs to catch babies.
Honestly, I was confused at first. How can you have a CNM program at a hospital that doesn't allow CNMs to catch babies there? I decided quickly that I would not be pursuing that as an avenue.
Since I am more comfortable in a brick and mortar setting, rather than distance learning, I would like to hear about the experiences of those of you are in a resident CNM program currently or have already completed your program.
Thanks!
