How can I test out of the CNA for NC....

Have you taken the course yet? First you have to complete a CNA course that is state approved (which consists of both classroom hours and clinical/"on site" hours)..then you have to pass an exam that licenses you with the state board of nursing. The first step is to look in your area for programs that fit your needs. They are often run by community colleges and healthcare companies; some places will pay for your CNA course if you commit to working at one of their places for x amount of time (usually 6 months or a year). In OR, at least, I saw programs ranging from 6 weeks to 12 weeks and $500 to $1200 (not to mention the $100+ state testing fee). Hope this helps :)
