cna questions

ON the cna test there were 3 questions that were kinda iffy for me. Any help is appreciated.

1) If a patient's urinary bag has no signs of urine, should you a) check for kinks b) inform the nurse c) i dont recall

(I chose b)

2) If a patients is not getting enough oxygen from the nasal cannula, should you a) check for kinks b) inform nurse c) i dont recall (I chose b)

3) And what is pts rights? a) to not have any restraints b) to have visitors overnight c) i dont recall ( i chose a)

4) The pt informs you that her son is irritating her and doesnt want you to tell anyone, you should a) protect pt's confidentiatly b) tell nurse c) i dont recall (i chose b)

As you can see i have poor memory..lol

I don't know the 'book' answers but a lot of those would be "all of the above" in real settings, obviously check if the urine bag is kinked somewhere because if you inform your charge nurse and she does the first thing, your gonna look pretty stupid & lazy and she'll probably chew you out about it.

Not trying to be mean about it, just sayin'.

The first two are both check for kinks - make sure it's not something simple that you are able to correct before alerting the nurse. The pt rights question I don't think you've listed the right answer but I can't remember what it is.... Confidentiality maybe? And the last one is to respect the pts confidentiality.

How did your test go?
