Is There Any Way?

  1. Is there any way I can tactfully pester someone about a job? Or should I not do that? I'm in CNA classes now. Potential employers are coming in and telling us what they have to offer. I want to show interest but not over do it. It's been over 4 years since I job hunted. I stayed with former employer that long. I don't want to look too hungry if you know what I mean. When the truth is I'm starving. LOL. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

i think if you call or email the next day or two to say thanks for the interview and thanks for their time it's totally acceptable. just don't show up at their home naked.

Hey I said I was starving, not desperate. Ok maybe I am a little desperate, but not that desperate. :roll

    Besides I'm a 154lbs I wouldn't want to scare them.

No, I haven't found anything out. There are more employers coming into class and I think I should wait to see what everyone else has to say before I start to get pesky. The place I was talking about is very, very new. They only have like 7 residents. If I remember right I think she said they were set up for a 144 beds or something like that. So I am sure until they get more residents they aren't going to be looking to hire anyone too quick. On another good note, none of my classmates have heard anything either. I don't mean that to sound bad, just trying to say at least others haven't had any calls and my phone not ringing. Incidently I did get a call I didn't recognize on the cell phone today. My hopes were up until I answered. It was the vet calling to do a wellness check on our Yorkie. She had dental surgery last week and we had been having a hard time getting her to take her pain pills. They should have gave us liquid form but that is another story. Thanks for asking jamonit!
