So today is my first day working as a nursing assistant. I'm a bit nervous but more so anxious to see how things will be. Any advice or tips for my first day?

You'll be fine they will have you training with another aid until they know you're ready to work on your own. Ask questions if you don't understand and don't pick up on other aides bad habits. Good luck to you.

How did your day go? I'm starting my CNA training on Feb. 5th and am excited to work as a CNA while I am in nursing school. I hope you had a great day!

Good luck to both of you. I've been an aid for over a year now and I am currently in an RN program. It's tough, but satisfying work. Some days you will need to hang on dearly to the positive moments, because sometimes they are tough to find. I'm glad I made the career change, even though it wasn't totally my choice! :)
@pamlepper Its was great just a lot of shadowing. I love it so far. I just have to get to know the residents. I start on school tomorrow excited! Seems like we're in the same boat.
@jasonj880 thanks! Do you have any tips on balancing school and work?

I have my first day this Friday! I'm pretty excited. It's like it's going to be a lot of following around and doing simple tasks at training.
