CNA courses in New Jersey

Published

Hi everyone! I am currently waiting for a seat in the RN nursing program at Ocean County College in Toms River, NJ. I am strongly considering becoming a CNA and I'm having an EXTREMELY difficult time finding courses, training programs, anything to take in order to become licensed/certified! Does anyone know of any programs that are quick (shorter than a college semester) 2 weeks would be ideal, and where they are? My county college does one for 3 months I believe and the county vocational school is not offering the course as of now. Please help!! any information is appreciated. Thank you! :)

I'm in southern NJ and was able to take my CNA course in 5 weeks at the county vocational technical school's adult education program. I haven't seem any courses shorter than that in NJ because of the state's requirements for 90 hours (50 classroom and 40 clinical)...unless you find a private tech school that can get those hours in fewer weeks, I don't know of any that will do it in 2-3.

which county vocational school? ocean county isn't offering one yet :( and was it expensive?

I'm in south jersey. I took my CNA course at Allied Health Training Institute in Camden. The program was 6 weeks and $1300.

LTC in Ocean County, Lakewood. I went there, and there were people there who came through grants from unemployment.
