Hello everyone!
My name is Allison and I am 22 years of age - I am interested in getting CNA certified and was wondering if someone could help me out on where I can obtain courses on getting certified and not spend a whole lot... I was looking into HCC but it is around $695 for the entire class ...which is way out of my budget. I was told that they have 6-8 week classes for free or low cost but I can't seem to find anything..
Can someone help me in finding a course I can take for low cost/free in the Houston area or Katy area?
I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you in advance,
Allison

You can try Lone Star College, but I can't remember if they offer a CNA or PCT program. Also, try applying for financial aid, FAFSA would be a good start.

Unfortunately, you can't use fafsa for the cna course, bc it doesn't meet the number of hours required to be able to use the money. I went to Texas health school, but it was a little over 700. I've heard that red cross does free certifications, but I don't have any info on it. Maybe look into that?
