CNA Concierge

I just got called in to interview for a concierge position that has to be a CNA. I've never heard of that type of position. According to the woman I spoke with, they're involved with admission and discharge. Has anyone ever heard of this type of position? Is it a good position to have? Thank you. :)

It might be similar to a unit coordinator like we have in my area. There was a psych CNA position I applied for where I would have been involved with admission and discharge as well as ADLs. The involvement would have included going over paperwork with patients about their rights and about the unit on admission and giving them discharge paperwork that was within my scope of practice. Usually not going over medical diagnoses or procedures, just trying to be a welcoming presence for the patients. Examples of paperwork I'd have given to the psych patients includes a sheet on what to expect and know about the unit--expect to be treated fairly and humanely, no cameras are on the unit, group is at X time in the day room, etc.

Thank you for your response. :) I actually accepted a better position before I even had the interview, so I guess I won't ever know if it was similar. Sounds like a nice job as far as CNA goes, though.
