Scrubs have gotten pretty expensive. I'm fortunate to work in a surgical environment so mine are provided, but when I had to buy a few pair for clinicals, I was shocked that it would cost me more to buy those than regular clothes!

I've personally found that Life, Uniform Advantage, and Scrubs and Beyond are all pretty comparable. You could go to one of the stores and try on the different brands for an idea of size and then order them online.

Try www.jascouniform.com and www.allheart.com ...I've even bought the cheaper pants and splurged on a top to match.

Just remember to save your reciepts so that you can take a tax deduction for work-related expenses!

I second everything that booogalooobaby said! Scrubs have gotten more expensive. I usually go to Scrubs and Beyond (in West Chester) or Uniform Advantage (in Tri-County) to try on different sizes and brands. I almost always order online though. I like www.a1scrubs.com , www.allheart.com , and www.marcusuniforms.com . Recently I've been using a1scrubs more, because they have free shipping if you spend more than $49... which as you're finding out, is NOT hard to do! If you're not an online shopper, the people at Scrubs and Beyond are really helpful and nice. If you need a size they don't carry, they will order them for you. There's also a surplus store in Norwood that carries scrubs. Their website is www.surplusworkclothes.com . I've never been there, but a friend of mine got her scrubs there and liked it. Well, good luck in your search... although I'm still looking for the perfect pair of scrubs!

SweetNSassy recommended Surplus Work Clothes; I's never heard of them. I looked up the driving directions on the internet, & drove over to Norwood. (From the West Side. And you know how we get!)

.

THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING! Besides work & school uniforms, they carry Landau, Peaches, & Dickies nursing uniforms, in all sizes, colors, solids & prints.

.

The address is 4553 Montgomery Rd, Norwood, OH 45212 513/631-2749. If you know where the Salvation Army is in Norwood, it's walking distance from there. Across from the Surrey Square Mall. The shop is a little place with a red awning (on Montgomery Rd.). Free public parking is behind the building at the Fidelity Insurance parking lot (or you could park in Walgreen's, I guess.)

.

Prices looked to be the same as Walmart, Life Uniforms, etc. And, get this . . . they do embroidery! They will not guarantee work on items they did not sell to you.

.

The dressing room was clean, the merchandise was plentiful, and I didn't smell anything weird. What more could one want?

.

Miss Bobbie will take excellent care of you. She has the patience of Job.:nmbrn:

Fifi rockefeller,

I'm glad you liked it there! I'll have to try them out sometime... I know my friend said she got a good price there. What nursing school do you go to? I go to Christ College of Nursing.

Amanda

P.S. Amen to the clean dressing room
