Choices on Bridging to RN?

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Hi there

I am very new to this but thanks for your time for reading this.

I have questions and need inputs on which school to choose for bridging. I am RPN (Centennial grad. with enough grade for choices I need to make) with a few years experience in LTC and Community. Currently between the job but will find a job here in Waterloo where I recently moved.  I have 2 kids(11, 7) at home.

My choices I thought might be possible with my concerns are below;

Athabasca: I believe they only offer Bachelor of Nursing. Reputation? How often and how long do I have to go AB? How important is it to have BSN?

Mc.Master: I live so close but managing working, with kids at home and full time study? Will it be easy to get a job during Summer break? How other people with job do the study? Aware of requirement for Math and English for U starting this year.

Centennial(Hybrid bridging and Ryerson Part time): How often do I have to actually be in person class in Ryerson? Will I be able to get placement close to where I live? Will people in part time Ryerson be able to work as well? Not full time but maybe part time?

I will appreciate any inputs and suggestions.

Have a wonderful day.
